A PhD scholarship is available at Queensland University of Technology, to develop and test methods for measuring ecosystem recovery and conservation impact.

The project will involve conducting assessments for several threatened ecosystems to measure how close they are to ‘full recovery’, their past conservation legacy, and their recovery potential. These will be used as case studies to test the rigour and applicability of the proposed assessment methods. The student will contribute to a broader project that is working to develop a global standard for measuring ecosystem recovery, similar to the Green Status of Species. There will be many opportunities to work with international collaborators on applied ecological research.
