The ESA AGM would normally be run in conjunction with our annual conference. However, it will be online this year as we are required to hold it before November 30 (the 2024 conference will not start until December 8). If you are unable to attend the Ecological Society of Australia Ltd. 2024 AGM, you can nominate any other attendee to bear your proxy, or the President of the Society, by filling out the online form or downloading a copy. Online proxies must be lodged by 11:59pm AEDT, Tuesday November 19, 2024.

Only ESA members can vote at the AGM, and status of all registrations will be verified. You can renew your membership, or become an ESA member online. 

Nominations for ESA Board Positions in 2024

You can nominate yourself (or another with consent) for a vacant position on the Board via the online form until 11:59pm AEDT, Wednesday October 30, 2024.

The ESA Board invites members of the Society to nominate for the following vacant Board positions to be filled for 2024. All positions that are at the end of their term or are becoming vacant due to resignation are spilled prior to the AGM and nominations can be submitted for any of these roles.

• President-elect
• VP Science & Applications
• VP Next Generation
• VP Membership
• Director – Early Career
• Director – Fundraising and Sponsorship (Note:This role is not open for general nomination as it is part of a formal recruitment process)
• Director – Inspiring Ecology Teaching

Current Board members are always eligible to renominate unless they have reached their maximum term, and voting will be held for each position via a show of hands or poll depending on number of nominations.
