2017 Australian of the Year Awards – Nominations are now open!

From quiet achievers, community members, household names and unknown heroes, the Australian of the Year Awards recognise all kinds of people from all over Australia who are making a difference locally, nationally or globally.

Within the environmental community, there would be many people who are doing great things. The Awards rely on the public to nominate and we encourage you to nominate for the 2017 Awards. It's a great way to acknowledge someone's work and it's your chance to share their story – you never know it could be your nomination that finds the next Australian, Senior, Young Australian of the Year or Local Hero.

It's easy to nominate, just tell us about the person you would like to see recognised and why on the website before 7 August 2016.
