Purpose:
The Practitioner Engagement Working Group aims to develop strategies to enhance practitioner engagement with the Society and to develop programs and initiatives that will assist ecological practitioners to undertake their professional roles.
In 2014 members were surveyed in part to determine how the ESA can further enhance national ecological practitioner engagement. Results from this survey clearly highlighted that members were interested in finding out what other Australian ecologists are working on and participating in discussions with other ecologists via online forums and face-to-face meetings. From this, the ESA committed to facilitating activities which will enable ecologists across the country to engage through symposia and other activities.
