The Ecological Society of Australia (ESA) is a not-for-profit, professional membership organisation that strives to be a fully inclusive community of ecologists. We know that many in our community may be dealing with obstacles to their careers that they should not have to face alone. This is why we are proud to be launching our new Equity & Diversity Champion program. We want to help you make a difference in addressing the challenges facing many of our colleagues.
We are offering up to $2000 seed funding to support actions that will help in addressing an issue of equity and diversity that has had an impact on you or people you know within ecological practice. This might be developing an awareness program, establishing a support network, gathering data and feedback through surveys, or something else you think might have an impact. We want to help give these often hidden issues a voice and support, and we know that it is the people who are facing these issues that are best placed to tell us how we can help.
We are a community of ecologists who are committed to equitable opportunities for all. We are listening. Help us to help you and your community.
