The Editorial Board of Austral Ecology is excited to invite new members to join the team to actively promote and disseminate ecological research relevant to the Southern Hemisphere.

We are looking for ecologists at any career stage post-PhD to join the Editorial Board. The role of an Austral Ecology Editor includes:

1. 1. Assess the suitability of manuscripts for peer review;
   2. Select appropriate peer reviewers;
   3. Make appropriate judgements on manuscripts after peer-review;
   4. Give feedback to early career reviewers regarding their manuscript reviews;
   5. Develop virtual issues and manuscript commentaries;
   6. Act as an ambassador for Austral Ecology at conferences and workshops;
   7. Identify potential research that would be appropriate for publication in Austral Ecology.

If you are interested in joining the Editorial Board, please submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) below. Your EOI (no more than two pages) should include the following information about yourself:

• • Where and when you obtained your PhD;
  • What skills and ideas you would bring to the Editorial Board;
  • Knowledge of Southern Hemisphere ecology;
  • A brief outline of your research philosophy;
  • Your record of refereeing and publication/grant reviews (e.g. a Publons record);
  • Any previous editorial board experience (desirable but not expected, especially for early career applicants).
