In response to the 2019/20 bushfires the ESA established the Ecosystem Recovery Fund, to support ongoing restoration and recovery works.

We are now pleased to offer the final rollout of these funds to Landcare groups undertaking bushfire-related ecosystem recovery work. This is not limited to those areas affected by the Black Summer fires and can be applied to anything from monitoring the response of native species to tree planting projects.  

Applications for up to $1000 are open now until 11:59pm, 13 August and must be made through a recognised Landcare group.

To support your application please provide details of your Landcare group, the project or work you are requesting funding for, how the project supports ecosystem recovery, the total budget for the project, any other funding you have already obtained, and how this $1,000 will contribute to the project overall.

While COVID-19 has slowed progress on recovery actions and put several projects on hold, ecosystem recovery is not something that happens overnight, and we are proud to be offering ongoing support.
